Supermetal Choose STRUMIS for their MIS Solution
Founded in 1959, Supermetal fabricate and erect structural steel for some of the most complex and commercial and industrial buildings in North America.
With their Head Office in Quebec and boasting 4 fabrication plants, Supermetal now have a workforce of over 600 employees. Their annual capacity of production is 60,000 tons.

Finding the right fit
Needless to say, when it came to choosing a company to provide their MIS solution, Supermetal did their research rigorously. They’d previously had an in-house management system held for over 20 years, so deciding to outsource was a pivotal decision and it was crucial to find a suitable management information system that was flexible and met all of their business requirements. Supermetal’s Purchasing Manager, Marc Boulanger, said: "As you can imagine choosing the perfect provider was a carefully planned, long process. Many things needed to be evaluated in terms of matching our very specific requirements.”
In terms of those specific requirements, transportability internationally was high on the agenda: "We needed a system that was bilingual and had flexibility, as we have plans to work globally”, Marc explained.
