FABTECH 2017

FABTECH 2017 was expected to receive over 50,000 attendees and have 1,700 companies exhibiting and it didn’t disappoint.
It provided a convenient ‘one stop shop’ venue where you can meet with world-class suppliers, see the latest industry products and developments, and find the tools to improve productivity, increase profits and discover new solutions to all of your metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing needs.
At the STRUMIS booth we had a lot in interest in what will be our latest release V10.3, which again like all our releases will bring new and unique features to the industry. And it was these unique features that drew in members of the steel fabrication industry as they all wondered just how beneficial they would be to them.
We don’t like to leave our customers or potential customers in the dark here at STRUMIS so we had our A team there at the booth to answer any questions or to run through a demo.
Which leads us to introducing our newest STRUMIS team member Joe Poulin. Joe joins the STRUMIS team with over 15 years’ worth of experience in the fabrication and construction world as well as being a Mechanical Engineer.
Having worked in a variety of roles including; Shop Supervisor, Project Engineer and Operations Manager he has been exposed to various forms of management software. Therefore bringing the perspective of a software user to the STRUMIS team.
Joe’s focus is to keep STRUMIS clients’ happy, their best interests in mind, and helping them select a STRUMIS product that best suits their Estimating and Fabricating needs.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Darcey, and son, Campion, at home in Maine enjoying the way life should be. Also involved in the Boy Scouts of America at both the local and district levels teaching the "Trades” (welding, plumbing, painting, home repairs and electricity) to the next generation and coordinating the training for all volunteers in the program.
